Danube Tech
Danube Tech is a pioneer in decentralised identity technologies and has leadership roles in multiple relevent organisations such as the W3C DID Working Group, or the Decentralized Identity Foundation (DIF). We build open-source libraries as well as commercial products around Decentralised Identifiers (DIDs) as Verifiable Credentials (VCs), and we work with customers and projects around the world such as the US Department of Homeland Security and the European Blockchain Service Infrastructure (EBSI). We are especially interested in the underlying technical protocols and in interoperability between different ecosystems.

Data Competence Center for Cities and Regions
DKSR, the Data Competence Center for Cities and Regions, supports all cities and regions in the data-based development of sustainably smart municipalities. As a joint spin-off company of Telekom, Fraunhofer Gesellschaft, [ui!] GmbH, and axxessio GmbH, we bring competence and advice on the subject of strategic urban data usage to all areas. We want to enable municipalities and municipal companies to face their current challenges by using digital solutions while guaranteeing their data sovereignty and safety. With our open-source data platform and our network, we create comprehensive scalability and synergy effects for all our partners

The Department of Computer Science deals topics such as Content Centred Communities, Intelligent Semantic Technologies for Human Artificial Agents Collaboration, Knowledge Representation, Machine Learning and Data Mining, Smart Interactive Objects and Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Social Computing. The Social Computing works on Civic Blockchain technologies and Civic Social Networks, developed and tested in innovation projects at the EU level (WeGovNow!, Co-city, CO3, NLAB4CIT) and regional level (Tech4Milk, PININ). The Department contributes to maintaining the Turin’s High-Performance Centre for Artificial Intelligence HPC4AI.
