IMPULSE’s Ethics Protocol

The Ethics Protocol developed in IMPULSE addresses all ethics requirements for Horizon 2020 projects and might be easily adopted by other consortia.

The Ethics Protocol

The Ethics Protocol developed in IMPULSE is aimed to identify any ethics-sensitive activities and related procedures that are essential for ensuring the compliance of the IMPULSE project with the ethical requirements that apply to Horizon 2020 projects according to the EC guidelines. This includes the non-discriminatory involvement of research subjects as well as the personal data protection requirements while performing pilot tests and consulting the stakeholders as well as any other kind of ethics-sensitive activities organised by the project. Although the full version of the Ethics Protocol in text is restricted for internal use – contact us for further details – a very illustrative video has been produced to help organisations and researchers to better identify and understand those potential ethics-sensitive activities.

About the authors

The design of the Ethics Protocol has been led by our partner Cyberethics Lab with the support of the IMPULSE Ethics Advisor Assistant Professor Federica Russo and the feedback collected from the IMPULSE partners.
